The Goofalotatots is the fifty-second episode of The Mask: The Animated Series.

Summary[]

Stanley as The Mask meets his favorite cartoon characters The Goofalotatots (a parody of the Warners from Animaniacs) Stinko, Pinko and Snot. What he doesn't know is that they're evil robot duplicates built by Pretorius in a plot to disable Edge City's officials.

Plot[]

The Mask's night of fun at the Coco Bongo is interrupted by the sudden arrival of Stinko, Pinko and Snot, a trio of cartoonish anthropomorphic animals known as the "Goofalotatots". Surprisingly, the Mask and the Goofalotots end up having a lot of fun with each other. The next day, Mayor Tilton holds a ceremony in the Goofalotatots' honor and gives them the key to the city. The Goofalotatots, joined by the Mask, begin tormenting every elected official in Edge City, an event observed by Pretorius, who has been masquerading as Stu Schpeeler, the Goofalotatots' agent.

Pretorius' plan is to use both the Mask and the Goofalotatots to drive every elected official on Edge City crazy and to be deemed unfit for duty. When that happens, he will be the sole ruler of the city. The Mask and the Goofalotatots infiltrate the office of Police Commisoner Ben Gotham, throw sheep at him and shear them, causing severe pain to Gotham. Then, they infiltrate the home of District Attorney Dan Douglas, eat his dinner and drive him crazy with loud music. They even vandalize a news station and cover a anchorwoman with makeup.

The next day, Stanley starts wondering whether the Goofalotatots' pranking spree has gone too far. Milo then shows him a newspaper that depicts Pretorius observing the Goofalotatots, which causes Stanley to consider the possibility that Goofalotatots and Pretorius are working together in some evil plan. He attempts to warn anyone who might listen to him and gets pulled over by Kellaway and Doyle, but instead of getting a ticket for bad driving or even for being under suspicion of being the Mask, the two cops (who have also been driven bonkers by the Goofalotatots) invite Stanley to a special party to celebrate the Mayor at the Coco Bongo tonight.

The Goofalotatots kidnap Mayor Tilton and bring him to the Coco Bongo, where they use an orchestral symphony to brainwash everyone present into accepting Pretorius as their ruler. Stanley, having realized only the Mask can stop them, enters the Coco Bongo, but Pretorius orders the Goofalotatots to destroy him. The Goofalotatots proceed to beat up the Mask by dropping a piano on him, electrocuting him with shock paddles, and then literally “hit him with the bill” by crushing the Mask with a giant typewriter. After all that, the Mask winds up in the basement of the Coco Bongo, where he finds the real Stu Schpeeler, the Goofalotatots' agent. He explains that Pretorius kidnapped him, assumed his identity, and replaced the Goofalotatots with robotic imposters, while the real Goofalotatots are trapped in Edge City's water tower.

Overjoyed that his heroes are not actually criminals, the Mask tricks the fake Goofalotatots into firing him from a cannon, after which he crashes into the water tower, freeing the real Goofalotatots. Together, the Mask and the Goofalotatots capture Pretorius and reprogram the robotic imposters, using them to play hockey with Pretorius' disembodied head serving as the puck.
