Convention of Evil is the forty-third episode of The Mask: The Animated Series.
Summary[]
In this clip show episode, Pretorius, Gorgonzola, Lonnie the Shark and Pete, "Bub", The Tempest, and The Stinger discuss the many times The Mask has thwarted their heinous plans during a group therapy session held by Dr. Neuman.
Plot[]
Lonnie the Shark and Pete arrive at a building that hosts a meeting of Edge City's most notorious supervillains, such as Pretorius, Gorgonzola, the Tempest and the Stinger. Pretorius, who called for the meeting in the first places, proposes for the villains to form a unified front so they can have an easier time achieving their villainous goals. The other villains, however, show reluctance to such proposal because of their repeated defeats at the hands of the Mask. Pretorius, having anticipated this, calls for a special guest, Dr. Arthur Neuman, who insists for the other villains to talk about their experiences with the Mask to see if Neuman can help them.
Pete talks about the time the Mask stopped Lonnie's attempt to take control of the Edge City's Mega-Mall, while Gorgonzola talks about the time the Mask foiled her attempt to turn the city and its inhabitants into cheese. The Devil, who was also invited to the meeting, shares his experience of the Mask beating him at a dancing contest. The Stinger and the Tempest get into a fight about who gets to tell the next story. The Stinger attacks him with his bee swarm, but the Tempest creates a small, localized tornado, causing a frustrated Pretorius to just allow the Tempest to share his story about the Mask foiling his attempt to destroy Edge City with a storm.
The Stinger is finally allowed to share his story about the Mask ruining his plan to build the world's largest honeycomb by enslaving the people of Edge City. Suddenly, Pretorius gets a phone call from Dr. Neuman, who admits he has been caught in a traffic jam but promises to arrive to the meeting as soon as possible. This clues Pretorius in on the fact that the Neuman present at the meeting is an imposter. Sure enough, the imposter is the Mask, who takes the meeting as an opportunity to defeat the villains yet again. He gives a wedgie to the Tempest, sprays a jet of blue ink at Lonnie and Pete, drops a large anvil on Gorgonzola, traps the Stinger and his bees in a giant spider web, sends the Devil back to Hell and shrinks Pretorius' head down to the size of a ball. With the villains defeated yet again, the Mask prepares to enjoy a night of fun.

Continuity notes[]
- This is one of the few episodes where Stanley never takes off the Mask. Stanley is not even featured in flashbacks, but that can be explained by the fact that none of the villains, aside from Pretorius, are aware of his secret identity.
Continuity errors[]
- It is unknown how Gorgonzola returned because in her previous appearance in "Mask Au Gratin", her amulet was taken away from it's previous host Jennifer and returned to her tomb for eternity. It could be possible that Jennifer got it back or someone else found it and turned into the evil mistress of cheese.
- It is also unknown how Buzz Stingman changed back to the Stinger, but it could be confirmed that he could of been stung by his bees again or his transformation back to normal wasn't permanent.
