Ace Ventura is a character from the Ace Ventura film franchise and the animated series, that was aired around the same time as The Mask franchise.
He is voiced by the Canadian actor Michael Daingerfield.
In Miami, Florida where he lives, he is known as the best and only Pet Detective and has a huge affinitive for animals. Though his theories and methods sometimes seem a little crazy, he always gets the job done in the end.
Ace is also accompanied by his pet spider-monkey Spike.
He is also one of the Mask's loyal allies who knows his true identity. Ace appears in two episodes in The Mask: The Animated Series. His catchphrases are "All righty then!", "Do NOT go in there!", "Re-he-he-he-heally!", "LIIIIIKE A GLOVE!!!"(when he parks a vehicle) and his trademark laugh "HEH HEH HEH HEH!!!".

- In the same way as the Mask, Ace was another one of Jim Carrey's live action characters in 1994.
- Ace wore the mask by accident when he sat on it. It then fused with his rear end that he often used in ventriloquism giving it a green version of his own face and a real voice.
- The episodes he appears in are crossovers as Ace had his own animated series during the other show's run.
- In the films, like Stanley, Ace ended up with a girlfriend, Melissa Robinson, whom he later married and had a son Ace Ventura, Jr., but she is neither seen or mentioned in the animated series.
- In the films, Ace wore a variety of colored shirts and trousers, but his animated counterpart wears the same clothing and only occasionally wears something different for a particular episode.
