Daniel Moss is a character from Son of the Mask in 2005.
Daniel Moss was Tim Avery's boss at Animagine Studios where he was considered a legend among aspiring cartoonist. Tim was intimidated to approach him was a pitch for a cartoon he had created and never got to get his idea across. However, at the company's Halloween party, he watched first hand as Tim now under the influence of The Mask run up to one of his employees, [[ http://the-mask.wikia.com/wiki/Sylvia%7CSylvia]], who had been dressed in a skin-tight latex catsuit and was bandaged up like a mummy. He asked who "that green guy" was and thus realized it was Tim Avery. Moss experience the magic of Loki's Mask as Avery kicked Sylvia sending her flying into a tornado and had her catsuit changed into a now tight swimsuit. Upon the fact that his party was a blur, The Mask flew up to the stage and began putting other employees under his spell in order to liven up the scene.
Moss is impressed with the Tim's performance and the next day, tells Tim that he wants to make a cartoon based on his character. However, Tim's dealing with the shenanigans of his baby Alvery and dog Otis with the Mask, Tim fails to meet his deadlines and he is fired. After his misadventures with Mask, Tim pitches to Moss the idea for a cartoon about a dog and a baby competing for their father's attention, which Moss begins production on, saying it had the "spark" he was looking for.
