Betty Carlyle is the secondary antagonist of Son of the Mask. She's the grumpy and nosey neighbour of Tim and Tonya Avery. She's also the aunt of Tina Carlyle but she's very mean to her.
Biography[]
She's first seen minding Tim and Tonya's business as she's working in her garden which shows immediately her nosey personality. She has a pretty female dog named Venus, which Otis, Tim's dog, has a crush on.
When Tim sees Alvey using his powers to terrorize him so he will be sent to a mental asylum, he asks Betty to help him but she dosen't believe him and even slams him in the wall for trying to hurt an "innocent child".
Later she sees Loki sneaking into Tim's house and she thinks it's Tim. Hearing strange and soprannatural sounds, Betty asks what's going on there and she stupidly remains until Loki gets his powers back which allows her to get her revenge on her after he could'nt use his powers on her before and, angry, he finally turns her head into a big nose as she calls her, rightfully, a nosey neighbour. The nose gets licked by Venus which leds her to sneeze all over the grass. The big nose has a feet-like smell that later comically disgusts Tonya when she enters in their house.
It's unknown what happened to her after this but she's implied to have remained stuck with a big nose as her head forever, since Loki returned the mask to home and never came back, finally being forced to mind her own business.
